This gig was held to celebrate the vinyl and digital release of their self-titled EP which was originally released on CD only by Ōtautahi based label Beat Atlas Records.’ This vinyl and digital release marks the second collaboration between Ōtautahi based record labels Pinacolada Records and Leather Jacket Records (PINALP02 / LJR30). Barnard's Star was formed in 1996 at Canterbury University, featuring Marcus Winstanley (Minisnap, Cowboy Machine), Nick Guy (Lytteltronics, Torlesse Super Group), Helen Greenfield (Mela, The L.E.D.s) and Tyrone Thorn (Swinging Tasty Bag).
