How the site describes itself:

EcoCost - Your footprint at your fingertips

myEcoCost is a technology that integrates individuals with planetary resources, providing the ability to see the ecological cost of their purchases (a personal environmental footprint). With a software innovation added to financial and manufacturing accounting systems, this facility will give us the information needed to make environmentally sensitive choices. You will see the difference between driving to work and catching the train. You will see the difference between buying eco-friendly products against stronger ones. From this information we can adjust our consumption patterns and SEE THE DIFFERENCE THAT IT MAKES. From this we can take personal responsibility for our own individual consumption of planetary resources. Over time we will learn how to live within our environmental means.
