EquSpace - Enabling new quantum frontiers with spin acoustics in silicon

EquSpace is a four-year consortium project led by the University of Jyväskylä. Launched in February 2025, the project has received 3.2 million euros in funding from the European Innovation Council’s (EIC) Pathfinder Open programme. In its initial phase, EquSpace brings together five partners from three EU countries to develop a new type of silicon-based quantum platform and to advance breakthrough quantum technologies. Through the Hop-On funding scheme, the project expands from February 2026 onwards to include six partners from four different EU countries.
