The UC San Diego Human Milk Institute (HMI) is the central hub to advance human milk from molecular discoveries to local and global public health impact. HMI focuses on six key areas: human milk analytics, epidemiology and data science, education, engagement and commercialization, community outreach, and public health surveillance and rapid response.
