In the face of the major disruptions caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, and in order to avoid the risks of having a face-to-face conference in September, as originally planned, IJCLR’s steering committee has made the difficult decision to postpone the conference until 2021. The option of having the conference, but as a virtual event, instead of a face-to-face meeting, has been considered and discussed. We feel, however, that given the novelty of IJCLR, and the fact that it aims at bringing together different communities to interact, collaborate and exchange ideas, a virtual conference may be inappropriate for this endeavour.
