Having spent some 30 years as a rather inactive Labour member, the formation of the Conservative/LibDem coalition in 2010 forced me off the sofa and into the joys of Labour activism. To my astonishment I was elected to Oxford City Council as a Labour and Co-operative councillor in May 2012.
