Bruce Bennett Hockey Photography, Long Island New York

Photographer Bruce Bennett of Long Island, New York started his photo business in 1973. Through the years it developed into Bruce Bennett Studios moving from Levittown to Hicksville and then finally to Farmingdale. BBS, as it was known, specialized in sports and hockey photography, and maintained a large clientele in the tri-state area, shooting public relations events and providing industry with stock images of the Long Island region. In 2004, BBS was acquired by Getty Images and Bruce joined them as Director of Photography for Hockey. Getty Images represents and licenses all two million images from the BBS collection. BBSs Long Island operation closed its doors in 2005, but still provides up to date stock imagery of the Long Island region through its web site at www.brucebennettstudios.com .
