Justice + joy. I’m an indecorous Southerner, an erstwhile Evangelical, an inexpert advocate for justice—and the author of Making Friends With My Body and God. I grew up loving Jesus and reading the Bible, and that’s still my wheelhouse. Along the way I’ve learned that loving Jesus means loving this mucky mess of a world—so I made friends with my body, started working with the poor, and turned into a hippie tree hugger.
