To gain formal recognition for those who revived the Olympic Games in modern times who have been largely ignored since Baron Pierre de Coubertin founded the International Olympic Committee in 1894. To hear the names of Panagiotis Soutsos and Evangelis Zappas acknowledged and honored as founders of the modern Olympic Games, and Dr William Penny Brookes as a founder of the modern Olympic Movement at the Opening Ceremony of each Olympic Games.
