ALIKE - My Mother's Dream - PREformances with Allison Charney

Inspired by Allison's mother’s vision of unity, ALIKE highlights our shared humanity through music by composers from Russia, Ukraine, Iran, and Israel. The album also features the first English recording of a long-lost piece by Amy Beach, whose manuscript vanished during WWI, a new arrangement of Kim D. Sherman’s Invocation that sets the phrase "Make peace on all your lands" in 15 world languages, and "Songs My Mother Taught Me", the beloved song by Antonin Dvořák, recorded in his hometown of Prague. Shepherded by an award-winning production and engineering team —including Kitt Wakeley, Christina Giacona, Patrick Conlon and Jeff Keswin—ALIKE showcases soprano Allison Charney along with pianist and conductor Benjamin Loeb and featured artists: cellist Peter Seidenberg, flutist Allison Loggins-Hull, violinist Kelly Hall-Tompkins, harpists Kirsten Agresta Copely and Gaye LeBlanc and the National Symphonia Orchestra.
